Micro-blogging is bad for you.

All these fake intellectuals walking around. I firmly believe that having a tough major doesn't certify your intelligence rating. Your cattle mentality rating does. Anyone can memorize technical terms from a book love.

That doesn't make you smart.

What you do with the knowledge makes you smart. What you do in the face of a crowd makes you smart. Are you a leader? Or a follower? Content with blatant idiocy? No matter how many degrees you get, stupid is as stupid does.

Maybe that's why I have so little respect for Universities and colleges nowadays, a great deal of you don't learn a damn thing. The purpose of education is to better the human condition, to polish the mind, where did we go off the track?

Half of you go in to college not even knowing what the fuck you want. Then leave in a much worse condition. Doesn't add up. You see real intelligence as 'work'. Promoting more shallow living. And the things that entertain you obviously have never helped. We are so compliant with dumbed down fuckery, it's become a part of our culture, of the very thing that defines us.

Why should a man see me reading a book and automatically cite me as 'cultured'? Isn't University supposed to make that a norm? The purpose has been lost. Everyone is just confused. You're all lost in a maze trying to find your true meaning in the middle of it all. Some of you just stop looking, just sit down and give up, escape in the ocean of flaccid entertainment, a valuable brain lost in the waves.

I guess I just expect too much of my generation. But if I really believe that statement that means my standards for you will have to be lowered even further.

Which I didn't think possible.

Something really has to be done about you. I don't know what just yet, but I do know I'll be at the forefront of it all. We have so much information, so much knowledge available to us and we are simply far too content to die in our ignorance.

We have no respect for ourselves or our history.

Universities are failing us because we are failing ourselves.
